Gajendra Chouhan

Gajendra Chauhan is an Indian actor who is best known for his portrayal of the eldest pandava "Yudhishthira" in the Mahabharat (TV series). He played the role of 'Dharamraj Yudhishthira' in the series. The series was a world wide hit and hit excellent TRPs. He has worked in around 150 movies and over 600 TV serials.


Gajendra Chouhan is an Indian actor who is best known for his portrayal of the eldest pandava "Yudhishthira" in the Mahabharat (TV series).Chauhan lived in Khanpur, which is near Shadipur in West Delhi.He did schooling and college from Delhi & got diploma in Radiography and served at a medical school, but he never felt satisfied. So, he decided to leave my job and pursue his dreams of working in the glamor industry.


He came to Mumbai only with an address of a famous acting professor named Roshan Taneja & joined his acting school
He joined acting classes under Roshan Taneja. Some other famous personalities were also his batchmates at the school. These include Chunky Pandey, Govinda, and Gulshan Grover.He made his debut in a movie called 'Lallu Ram' which did not do well. He also did work in some other notable productions like "Rajni", "Darpan" and "Air Hostess". His big break came in Mahabharat (TV Series).

 Gajendra Chouhan was initially offered to play the role of lord Krishna in the TV series. He shot for 2 episodes of the series as Krishna. However the project got delayed and he moved south for work. On returning he had put on weight and was considered unsuitable for the role of Krishna. Luckily he was offered the role of Yudhishtira. This was his major break.
