This Chandigarh born Dilli ki Billi actress is known for her bold attitude and even language in real life.
In reel life, when Shaurya Chauhan had a catfight with her hero Karanveer Sharma, everyone around thought that she will not be able to enact romantic scenes with him.
But the talented actress proved everyone wrong. She patched up immediately and surprised everyone who was expected a rough run canning the shot. In fact she gave one of the best effortless shots for the film.
Director Muazzem Beg says, “Shaurya Chauhan and Karanveer Sharma are both very passionate and intense in their delivery. When they had a creative difference over a particular shot, it literally became a catfight.
And we were all very worried because the next shot was a romantic one. But Shaurya changed colours like a chameleon in front of the camera and gave an effortless shot. If you hadn’t seen the catfight, you would have felt that Shaurya loves Karanveer eternally like his soul mate.”
Scintillating Shaurya, who was born in Chandigarh and grew up in Hyderabad, has spent quite a lot of time in Capital and is quite at ease in this film, which is set in the backdrop of our capital city- Delhi.
She plays a significant role (you can call it a shocker) in a story where six boys from different states come together to share a two BHK apartment in a middle-class colony, which they lovingly call "Sadda Adda".
Shaurya loves this story about how six bachelors, with completely different backgrounds and personalities, live together.
Dare-to-bare girl Shaurya Chauhan has already wooed controversy not just by experimenting vividly with her roles, which range from lead and character oriented to some sizzling item numbers, but also by her nude photoshoot.
She became the face of a shoe brand and the advertisement showcased her in the most sensuous avatar oozing out oodles of sexuality by draping nothing except a thin cloth.
Comments Shaurya, “Belonging to army family, I have been to Delhi so many times before and thought that I knew the city. In fact, my brother lives in Delhi but this time I realised that I was seeing the real Delhi for the first time.
From Janpath to Kutubminar to Chandichok to Khan Market... Sarojini Nagar to Metro. God, its bizarre.. People with so many colours, Tourists and all this in just two days of my shooting for mod art international Paris.
Since I was shooting a documentary film for them, which required me to walk on streets, pose in teeny-weeny clothes oh God it was hilarious,” and goes on to add, “I remember we were shooting at paranthewali gali....and we turn and see everywhere people gathered around us and me in this short dress...But we went on with the shoot inspite of all ogling at me and then I went on to eat paranthas there with my whole crew,” she giggles.
Shaurya Chauhan’s first film was Mumbai Salsaa, while her second Horn Ok Pleassss… is waiting in the wings. She has signed 3 film contract with Zoom, has done an item song with Arjun Rampal & Mika and has two international ads in her pocket. Comments she, “I loved doing the ad of L’Oreal. It was a déjà vu for my experience during the ad shoot of kingfisher calendar.”
